Registered Dietician Matthew Butera arms his patients with nutritional assessments and customized diet plans that allow them to take ownership of their health. He does this through carefully listening to their concerns, helping them zero in on their greatest dietary obstacles, and setting attainable goals. His personalized approach, warm demeanor, and vast nutritional expertise set his patients up for a lifetime of success.

After attending Montclair State University, Matthew pursued a Master’s Degree and completed his Dietetic Internship at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, New Jersey. He then went on to work at Overlook Medical Center, where he treated a diverse population in the acute care setting. In 2022, he received the Clinical Excellence Award for his outstanding efforts in treating patients dealing with diabetic, renal, cardiac, and gastrointestinal diseases.

As a Registered Dietician, Matthew believes in instilling change through setting realistic goals and implementing meal plans that shift his patients’ relationship with food. He is dedicated to collaborating with each patient one-on-one so they can reach their goals and feel good about their meal choices. He understands food is more than fuel; It can be a source of comfort and enjoyment. He aims to create diet plans to leave his patients feeling full and energized without consuming unwanted calories. His nutrient-dense meal plans are not only healthy but satisfying.
